Rang last minute after a previous booking let down. Accommodated us, welcome us and our 2 pooches, couldn’t be more welcoming. The giant Yorkshire was amazing and even the dogs had sausages, freshly cooked! Definitely be back! thank you

We were looking for a dog friendly pub with good food, this smashed it. Dog was allowed anywhere in pub and the pies and puddings were unique and delicious. Fantastic touch to be able to flavour your mash. They were quiet being a Thursday lunchtime so gave us complete table service with a smile. If you're partial to good food, good service and a true dog accepting pub, then look no further.

Service was great ... Pub quiet, but it was midweek . Food had improved markedly from last visit, the pies and sauces being well cooked and very tasty. Also, the option of three sides as a main is definitely worth consideration ..

Ed was brilliant, he was left on his own as the chef had called in sick, so he served behind bar and did the meals in the kitchen. Ok we had to wait longer than usual for our meal but it was well worth the wait, delicious, hot food was served. He didn't fluster, even had time to bring water to our table. First time there but we'll be back. Well done Ed 👏 Vegetarian options: Thia pie was delicious 😋

Lovely food, just what we needed on a cold December evening! Dog friendly and a range of games to choose from to play after we finished eating.

The food is excellent. Service is friendly and helpful. Reasonable pricing, considering the great quality of the food. Free parking, guest ales, TV and ambient music. Good for drinks or meals. Coffee and cake also available. Highly recommended and will be going back! Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian and vegan options that sound as appealing to a meat eater as they do to a vegetarian!

What a find! Super friendly pub with the best pies Ive ever eaten, quality, fresh food and really great local beers too. Came here on recommendation and wasn't disappointed. It was great that its dog friendly too with treats for them. Not sure why there are negative reviews on here recently as our experience was great. Will be coming back!

We stopped here for some dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how lovely and affordable it was. Dogs were welcome and greeted. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and inexpensive. Shame we aren't local as we would definitely be returning. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. I had a Nacho pie, that was made with quorn. Parking: Small amount of street parking next to the pub. I can imagine if its busy it would be hard to find parking.

Wasn't really planning to go here but stopped in on the way home mainly as the pie only concept was interesting. We are so glad we did. Really nice village pub which is very well decorated and nicely kept. The staff were very friendly from the moment we walked in helping choose which beers we should try. We ordered 2 pies, 1 duck with cheese and garlic mash and 1 root vegetable and they were really excellent. So good in fact we joined the pie club and will be back. Possibly sooner than later. Made an already good day great

Visiting last night with my parents and dog, we had a lovely meal. The pub is set in the middle of beautiful Trunch village, the staff were friendly and helpful, very polite and welcoming. The food is great value for money and arrived promptly it was fresh and well presented. We enjoyed our meals and we will deffinatly return.
